Under The Bridge
The bridge above....
This out of sight....
Passed over by all....
Except the tired photographer...
Who stops to rest in a place of beauty.
Canon Digital 50mm @ F/4 Straight Print
A hidden place .....
A cave that thousands
pass without seeing.
On the way to something else.

A sepia version of the Chapel Ridge photo.
I prefer the "straight" B&W version.
What do you think?
Heart of Stone
Carved by someone long ago?
Carved by nature herself?
Or just a fluke,
discovered by a tired photographer.
We shall never know.

Did you ever wonder what inspired road names?
This is the chapel at Chapel Ridge road.
Is it up on a ridge? Yes.
Is it falling apart? Yes,
Does it still look good in its disrepair? You Decide.

YES! We survived the blackout.
Seven days, almost to the hour.
The most wonderful sight in the world was the DP&L truck.
No lights, no coffee, no computer, no football, no power.
Reading done by the light of the oil lamps.
Coffee, since I am addicted, purchased at any place that still had power.
OK, the update:
My show is up and looks very nice.
You may see it at Carriage Hill Metro Park Gallery
Dayton, Ohio ... north of I 70 ... St Rt 201 exit
until the end of October.
The prints are for sale....hint...hint.
A full class this term at the museum.
The "Photography of Fall Color" class. All in digital.
A 6 week class with an afternoon field trip at the end.
Last week ( second class) was of course canceled
due to the wind damage & power outage.
I am looking forward to getting back to work this week
after a week of doing nothing constructive.
So, yes, I am still here.....
the reports of me being buried under a fallen tree
are greatly exaggerated.

A new scan...
A bit of photoshop...
A better photo....
